Linux configuration instructions released

Road Warrior VPN.com is proud to announce a update to the Linux client.  Now the DNS automatically updates, and we have included instructions on how the Linux command line client works and what is required in case you have any questions.

The instructions are quite simple.  A short summary of the instructions are as follows, download the .ZIP file, un zip the Linux package file which contains the certificates and configurations files.  Install openvpn using your method of choice(apt-get install, yum install, etc…).  Make sure “resolvconf” program is installed.  This program is necessary for DNS to be updated with Road Warrior VPN.com DNS server.  While you do not have to use Road Warrior VPN.com DNS server is is highly recommended for speed and security.

Self Service Maintenance

The customer Self Service will undergo maintenance during 13-14 hundred hours EST.  Tuesday the 24 of November.

There will be NO VPN service interruption.

The only service that will be unavailable is, you will not be able to log into customer Self Service.

Now instead of heading to blog.RoadWarriorVPN.com or subscribing to the RSS feed, you can now sign up to receive E-Mail notification when a new post is made.

We make this service available because we do not want to E-Mail our customers unless they wish to receive E-Mails.  The only E-Mails that a customer will receive when they sing up are are pertaining to their billing information.  In order to receive notifications about Road Warrior VPN.com service and other such announcements you might sign up to receive the additional E-Mails.

Road Warrior VPN.com now supports OpenVPN on SNOM phones

Road Warrior VPN.com is now proud to announce that we now support OpenVPN on Snom VoIP phones.  Please note that not all Snom phones support OpenVPN.  We have made it easy to connect your Snom phone to Road Warrior VPN.com VPN servers.  Step by step instructions are located here.  We also have a form to generate a customized configuration .tar file located in the download section.

The Snom phones which support OpenVPN currently are Snom 370, Snom 820, Snom 870.
